Default Where to get a 2.5 STI engine?

Hi all

I posted a thread on another subaru forum but turns out it was american so not much use since im in the Uk.

Anyways im after a 10 second quater mile. Big ask i know but im going to try and reach it even if i takes me a year or so.

Heres what ive been reccomended to get.

Forged 2.5 STI Block, rotated gt35r, TBE, FMIC, Intake, 1200cc injectors, 255lph pump, fuel rails, clutch, Cobb AP, and a e85 tune.

To start with i need the block, i can source everything else but anyone know a place in the UK - im in fife scotland - that can get this and how much it should cost. Would prefer brand new since im a snobb .

Thanks

Have a chat with Andy Forrest http://www.andyforrestperformance.co.uk/index2.html but you understand that getting a 10 second scoob will be VERY expensive dont you?

YEA I know it won't be cheap but I'm looking to do this over a period of time.

I can source all the other parts it's just the 2.5 engine I'm needing to source and I'm looking for a hand.

Have a look in the technical archive area for Shaun's Spec C thread, think he spent about 20-30k getting his to 550ish bhp with all the supporting mods.

Budget is what ever that is needed to achieve me goal. Dunfermline fife.

So what would the best engine be to get 2.1,2.3,2.5? For a 10 second quater mile.

How much should the engine cost?

Cobb AP is a no go in this country, don't think it suports any of the UK/JDM ECU's. Also, your closest E85 pump is in Dundee, might be an issue.

Our 2.1 stroker which has proven 10 second caliber costs £2150 inc vat as a short engine, or £4100 as a drive in drive out engine only build. The supporting mods are of course user specific, so feel free to give us a call and I will have a chat to you about it.
