Default adjusting mixture

Hi all, I have a 96 2000 turbo with a 8S ecu so it can't be mapped... so whats the best way of increasing boost and adjusting the mixture.

Will the air flow meter adjust the mixture according to the amount of boost?

You need either an ESL remap or an aftermarket ECU. eg Apexi or Simtek.
The mapping should be carried out by smoeone with adequate knowledge.

8s is 3plug ecu so car is an my97.
After market ecu only as harvey says apexi or simtek the main options

Ok, how about boost controllers I understand that in an ideal world you would need a remap but I can't get that so beening that the enigne is over fueled to begin with...

Any advise on boost controllers I know the risks but in the real world there are loads out there using them and I only looking at a 25/30bhp gain

I was asked as a favor to put detcans on a car yesterday that was going on the dyno and the owner was going to fit a boost controller and up the boost.. it was upped 0.1bar over what it ran on the standard boost controller.. it detted it's **** off and I bashed the dyno operator so he aborted the run.

Sometimes it can be fine to up the boost, sometimes it won't be

It may not be running rich. Or even if it is it still might have too much timing for more boost to be added. As Simon says .. Det cans will show how happy/safe it is.

May be of interest could of been posted before: Boost/Ignition Controller

Show I guys attemp with a simple bleed valve.

A bleed valve fitted without the facility to check AFRs and for DET is a journey into the unknown. You may get away with it.
An aftermarket ECU, properly mapped will allow for quite detailed changes to fuel and ignition maps and in the case of the Simtek a very detailed boost control map. Even a cheap, secondhand Apexi, and there are a few on the market at present will give gains way beyond what a bleed valve can do and these gains are achieved safely.
