what turbo is on my early sti, the first ones?

i can hear a slight whine at times - thinking it might possibly be the turbo

whats a good upgrade for my car - not mega power trying to get a bit over 300 from it.

 

Isn't it quicker to just pop your bonnet and look at what's written on the compressor cover?

You may well have a turbo capable of that already. Have a look.

Should be a TD05, more than capable of 300bhp with supporting mods.

 

When you say first ones, do you mean just the classic shape or first classic sti, a 94 car? What year is yours.

Should have a tdo5 on.

 

as said it should have a tdo5 on, but that doesn't mean it hasn't been changed to something else earlier on.
