Default Head Gaskets - Recommendations

Hi everyone,

One or both of the head gaskets have gone in my WRX STI v3

Can anyone please recommend any reputable engine builders in the London/South East region?

Also, can anyone advise the typical lifetime of the standard clutch? I'm thinking about getting a new one since the engine will be coming out. It isn't slipping, but the bite point is very high and as far as I know its self adjusting, so is on its way out. I think its still on the original clutch (72k miles), but I don't understand the Japanese service history.

Cheers

Should the overheating issue on my Hawkeye STI return I will be visiting Torque of the Devil who are based in Uxbridge. Excellent service and a very knowledgeable team.

Give Dave at Welcome to the API website a call for this one mate you will definitely not regret it. He deals with full engines and is one of the clutch/gearbox gurus too. All in a very reasonable price.

API even have a branch in Japan therefore he may be able to assist with the service history problems you may have to.

If the engine is being pulled for the head gaskets, its best to make a decision on the clutch condition then and if it needs changing.

Certainly can help in both cases.

Call me for a sensible conversation and a fixed price quote.
