It should be a VF28 - which should be immediately identifiable via the IHI Turbo logo on the compressor housing.

If you do have a TD04 on there, one obvious question to ask would whether you really do have an STi, or a UK car with some stickers and random interior changes? What is the "22611...." number on the ECU sticker?

Does the engine number on the top rear of the block match the one on the vehicle ID plate? Might just be that the turbo has been swapped for a wrongun but you need to get a handle on exactly what's right and what's not before you start modifying.

Which Car is a WRX STi

I take it it as folding mirrors, rear wiper and the radio antennae in the nearside rear wing?

VIN Plates and engines can be swapped

VF28. Some numpty scrimped and scrapped.

You said it didn't matter anyway as you were fitting a massive, sorry, mahossive one anyway!

But we were only making sure you hadn't been ripped off or scammered.

Sorry for helping.
