checking actuator

Question checking actuator

i need to check boost problem how do i connect to just actuator do i remove pipe from manifold that goes to boost solenoid and connect that straight to actuator or do i still t in with pipe with restrictor in or just blank that pipe my00 uk model

There isn't a pipe running from the (inlet) manifold to the boost solenoid. There is a pipe running from the manifold to the pressure sources change solenoid but don't remove that one whatever you do. Sounds like you're mixing the boost and PSC solenoids up.

To do what you want you connect a pipe between the bleed nipple on the turbo compressor cover direct to the actuator nipple.

While it isn't mega important for a test drive or two, you can then disconnect the t-piece and the two short bits of pipe, and block the hose that runs from there to the boost solenoid input.
