Default Aircon

Was just wondering if anybody knows if its ok to run the the car without the aircon compressor belt attached.
Have a problem with my compressor and am awaiting a new one but in the short term its whining like mad and Im having to turn the stereo up louder and louder.

If I take the belt off and leave it off, will it do any damage to anything else?

Cheers

Yup, you could remove the belt if you wish, as it only runs the air con compressor.

Don't forget to tighten the adjuster bolts back up though otherwise it will vibrate itself off & could get caught up in the alternator/powersteering belt/pullys.
