You will only lose a few bhp with a sports cat, as opposed to the decat. No problems at MOT time as well, allegedly. Ill find out next Aug! If the sport cat is the only cat in the system, Im not sure if this is sufficient but someone will be along who has the same, and will be able to tell you.

I'm running a prodrive sports cat, otherwise full de-cat and mine has just passed its second MOT with no issues.

I have the TSL Thundercat on my MY03 WRX, and have had it on since 2004. It got through every MOT until 2008 when it failed. So, you just need to understand that even if you buy a sports cat, you are NOT guaranteed to pass an MOT. The cats are also NOT guaranteed for you to pass either. Only the welds and worksmanship is under warranty and NOT the actual cat. What i mean is, you could buy a new sports cat and still fail an mot and have no comeback at all.
