Default Heater Matrix How 2?

Hi guys,

Does anyone know of or can put together a how 2, to change the heater matrix on a 96 WRX

Even if just so I can get a rough idea of what will be involved

Thanks

I did this not so long ago,

First take the dash out, look for all the screws, bolts etc.

Then there is a metal bar from 1 side to the other, take this out. Undo the heater matrix pipes from the engine side, they are the two that are under the intercooler. Undo the box from inside the car, and pull out.

Matrix slides into plastic box and pulls out from the top.

You need to remove all of the dash and also the handdbrake surround. The vent on top of the dash unclips to reveal 2 hidden bolts. It's makes it easier too by dropping the steering column down before pulling the dash out.
Remove the big support bar from between the passenger and driverside.
Undo pipes as already said. I found that I had to also undo the air con pipes also as
I was able to pull the heater box back far enough to pull the matrix out.

Have fun!
