Default tuning mods

How much more power do u want? Have you a downpipe fitted? best move would be to source an aftermarket ecu like apexi power fc, simtek or esl board! first as ur's cant be remapped im afraid! once u start adding these mods a remapp is needed right away to avoid ur engine going bye bye! Ur car should be running a td05 turbo which is fine to get u to 300bhp.

walbro 255lt upgraded fuel pump
440 yellow injectors
fmic + induction kit
then a remapp

Default tuning

you will have to cut the bumper for the fmic to fit. im unsure of the dastek tbh! ill be running simtek soon on my95wrx jdm it does away with the maf sensor if you dont know anything about that then beware if that goes its very costly new!!!

i would repost seperatly on here about the dastek im sure there is somebody running the same or knows more info

You just widen the air intake access in the inner wing, easy mate. Yes to cutting the bumper on most FMIC.

I thought dastek was just a chip ? As for Maf's they are expensive but early ones are plentiful at cheap money and more robust than later versions.

Best option is an ESL live mappable daughter board, contact www.Jollygreenmonster.com for a top mobile and localish mapper.

In the short term decat, 255 fuel pump and you will have a much quicker car.

Agree with Walbro pump as next job. Then, brakes would be my next port of call - 4 pot calipers on the front if not there already.

By saying 'full exhaust system' do you mean a 'full decat exhaust system'?

Double check everything's in tip-top order before modding - rolling road sessions don't cost much. When was a timing kit last fitted, oil/plugs last changed e.t.c?

I found this link very useful for gauging realistic power to an actual budget, leaving a little extra for the jobs that don't quite go to plan (& there will be some lol)!

Power mods are totally dependant on budget & for what use (fast road or track or both) ?

300bhp does not mean a different ecu mate! Polar performance or scoobyecu chipped ecu should get you about 290-300bhp anyway (not the ebay chips with stage 1, stage 2 or stage 8 race lol!) with the walbro & full decat (which you have already).

Probably worth getting a panel filter/induction kit & bigger top mount intercooler as well. Don't forget the brakes. An aftermarket ecu is useful if you ever plan to go higher than 300.

The ecu can't be mapped, that's right. Hence, why it either needs to have a chip inserted into it or it needs a different ecu.

Have a look here: Products - it will help explain things better I can.

Panel filter is really the air filter. To help it breathe better you can get an aftermarket panel filter that will fit in place of the original air filter or you can get an induction kit like the popular cone shaped ones (this replaces the ugly black box in the engine bay on the driver's side).
