Default Car Stuttering/ hesitating. Any ideas

When I bough the car, the car would hesitate and cough when throttle floored. On investigation one of the plugs was knackered and the car was dropping a cylinder when under load. Suggestions were that the car had been run on cheap fuel by the previous owner and not mapped for UK. Since owning, I've had the car mapped, plugs changed and only use V-Power. I've only done 800 miles!!

One morning last week this happened again. It reminded me of my rover turbo when a manual boost contoller was added and the ECU cut in for safety. It has not happened since. Any Ideas? Could it be:

I was only about 4 miles from my house, maybe the car wasn't warmed up enough? ECU safety feature?
I'd been arsing around with my Apexi controller, maybe left it on the 0.6 bar setting? Wouldn't make the car jerk would it??
My plugs knackered again?
Any other suggestions

Cheers, I think I'll change my plugs, thats one less thing it can be. On the fuel front, just had a Walbro fitted by a mate but the car stinks of petrol all the time now so I need to investigate this!! Apparently the rubber seal may be knackered on the panel to the tank so I'll have to have a look.
