Default Coolant Choice?

Hi guys,
Been the owner of a 98 Wagon for a couple of months now and as part of a clean up I'd like to change the coolant before the winter sets in. I remember the Subaru Manual specifically said I had to use Impreza coolant and think it also said it's because it's got an aluminium head. Does anyone have any advice on what I should buy for the best? I'm on a very tight budget but don't want to cause lasting damage through corrosion etc.
Cheers

here you go
Motul INUGEL OPTIMAL Ready to use cooling liquid Anti-corrosion and anti freeze
if theres problems with the link the coolant is Motul INUGEL OPTIMAL.
this stuff ticks all the boxes and at the time i bought it was cheaper than halfords stuff.

The Classic Subaru takes the standard (buy it anywhere) type a/freeze.

You could go to Halfords or Unipart etc & buy it from them if you like.

Another vote for the Motul, a great coolant.

Thanks for the recommendation. So how do I go about changing the coolant and how much does it take? I think seeing as I've given the car a service already I should make the effort to drain it down instead of just topping up. How do I do this and ensure it's got all of the old coolant removed (it says that you shouldn't mix this coolant with organics)? Do I need to use any water?

By the way what is this about aluminium heads etc and why doesn't it apply to my motor? I assume the newer models were given an Al instead of steel head?
