Default what version is my98??

As above what version is my car can someone let me know please i think its a v3 but not too sure also if it is a v3 would i 4 plug v2 ecu plug into mine or will it not work???

The "version numbers" only properly apply to classic shape STi models.

There's loads written already both about model years/version numbers and the specifics of ECU compatibility, so if you need any more info, search is your friend.

To answer your specific question, though, a 1997 model year car (STi version 3 was 97MY) is not compatible with a 96MY ECU.
