Hi guys just a qucik one as standard is the 03 sti a four piece exhuast system or a 3 piece got under mine on sunday and it has decat to centre pipe to back box, i thought there was a 2nd cat after the downpipe please confirm

could it be that the decat the guy before me has fitted is extra length?

so if i was going to go for a 3 inch turbo system back i would need

decat (have it)
Middle pipe (dont think need this has current de-cat reaches the pipe that goes into backbox
Centre section
Backbox

 

Think i'm correct sure i'll get corrected if not but...

1st cat in downpipe
2nd cat in pipe between downpipe and mid-section

Basically goes...

Downpipe (1st CAT in here)

it would appear then that the decat that the owner before me fitted removes both cats

that means all i need now is a decent cat back as as far as i can see i still have the standard centre pipe and prodrive backbox
