Question Urgent help re radiator (pretty please)

Hi Chaps

Just trying to swap out the leaking radiator on my classic and so far so good- two snapped bolts - one of the ones on the slam panel - the head just sheared off and also the head of the bolt on the clip holding the lower radiator hose on- Grrrr.

But that's not the main issue, as I'll replace them, my biggest problem is the only thing holding the rad in still is the electrical connections to the two fans.

Is there a knack to getting them apart or is it just brute force? There isn't enough slack to pull the rad up high enough to get a good look at them and I can only just get my hands down between the rad and the pulleys so it's hard to get any good leverage on them.

Any of you lads who've done it recently able to throw any light on this as I'm supposed to be taking the car off for a fluid change later ?

All advice gratefully received

Cheers

Not done it myself, but looking at it i would prob unbolt the fan assy frame from the rad then either remove the elec plugs afterwards or just leave them in place and re-bolt the fan assy to the new rad when its been fittedHth
