scooby sport engine swap, advice plz
Hi people, new to the club and to scooby's. with insurance being high im currently driving a 1997 classic shape sport (non turbo). which i have been told they meant to run 125bhp standard, car has got quite high millage and performance aint wot it used to be. I was also told they did a later sport engine from 2003 + running at 160bhp. does any1 know if this engine would fit my classic? if so is it straight swap or more involved? cheers.

I would suspect the insurance on a heavily modified Sport (i.e. engine swapped to a different one) would be a lot more than an unmodified Classic Turbo. The Turbo is either 200 or 215 bhp so should be plenty for you to be getting on with.
Got to be way cheaper, insurance aside, than sourcing and changing the engine in your existing Sport.
