Noticed some slight smoke and oil smell from the turbo when really hot and iv spotted where the hot side/housing bolts to the core it seems to be seeping right at the bottom and building up a crispy black tar like residue causing this smoking issue ,the turbo is only 4 months old and covered less than 4k,the top bolts are tight but i cant get to the bolt closest to the leak build up without removing the turbo (which will prob have to happen) has any one else had anything like this ?.

 

I had an external leak coming from a previous GT30 turbo. At first it was thought to be the oil return banjo, but later it was found that the seals had gone....... along with most of the turbo!
