Where is the thermostat sited? How easy is it to change? Any photos oujt there?

Mine is a bit sluggish on the opening (the car gets fairly warm before it operates).

 

It's at the engine end of the radiator bottom hose and is easily accessible with the undertray removed. I haven't any pics but it's quite obvious when you have a look. HTH

PS: I haven't quite sussed out the coolant flow - normally the stat is on the top hose so either the Subaru flows upwards through the radiator from the bottom, which I doubt, or the stat doesn't open until the radiator has warmed up which I also doubt!. Does anybody know?
