Default is this possible?

right guys i have a 1997 subaru impreza sport (2.0l 4wd NON-turbo) and was wondering is it as simple as buying a turbo, manifold, intercoller blah blah n just slapping it on get it remapped and bobs ur uncle u got urself a turbo scooby?

im guessing the engines are pretty much the same just without the turbo?

i know the rear arm, brakes etc are different but would upgrade them to disks etc? or is it gonna be the case of either buy a new scooby or do a engine conversion?

For the time and cost involved it would not be advised converting, turbos can be had for very little money.

the easiest way to go about it is replacing the engine, gearbox, driveshafts, suspension from a wrx or STI into your car. labour will cost AT LEAST £2500, add on top rewiring the whole ecu loom changing the ecu etc and it will work in at between 4k to 5k. just "bolting" a turbo on your car will blow your engine and gearbox in a few small miles. also clutch needs replaced, buying a new turbo. there is just sooooooo much needing done it just isnt worth the while. to sum this up go and buy a wrx, sell the sport, a whole load less hassle
