lambda or flame sensor on cat

Default lambda or flame sensor on cat

can some one please tell me if this is a lambda or a flame sensor and if i need it in my decat pipe as there is not a hole for it.

if i don’t need it, can i disconnect it or leave it connected but no plugged it in the exhaust?

Looks like cat on fire as lamba is usually in the headers if on classic can be left disconnected on new age will bring cel light up ecu and be mapped to turn it off though , what year car do you have ?

I have a 95 WRX. So I should be ok as classics don’t throw CEL warnings without this sender

Correct just leave it unplugged at the connection same as my old 93 wrx .
