Default low boost/limp mode

Hi all my 95 WRX seems to be stuck in limp mode read the ecu and found fault code 24 idle air control selenoid reset the ecu and fault cleared tested car but still could only get 0.5 bar it normaly did 0.8 checked all vac lines and cleaned the boost selenoid but still no differenance. would it be worth gettin an adjustable boost selenoid to see if that makes a differance.
Any ideas????

What kind of dump-valve are you using? Try refitting the factory recirc, if you've running VTA at the moment.

Best not to fit a MBC until you have found the fault mate, could be asking for trouble.

Does it rev ok when driving ie past 5k rpm?? If it is limp mode it will restict the revs.

Take it you cannot hear any sucking/air noises??

When you conect the test wires under the O/S lower dash does the BCS click freely?? While you have the wires conected you could try blasting cleaner through it again.

dissconect battery for 30 mins. it resets faults and give you boost again. car may just of had a slight hiccup and gone safe mode. mine has been know to do it if i run any other fuel than v-power. it does not like esso or tescos quality fuels

Esso could be the cause! Get some V-Power in and see.

Put some v-power in today but no differance yetstill only0.5psi boost may take some time if this is the problem as their was still some esso excelium in the tank as anyone else had loss of boost due to differant type fuels.
