Default prodrive mud flaps

I have done a bit of searching on this but cannot find a definitive guide. Is there an idiots guide to fitting prodrive flaps?
I have watched a video on body armour ones but they are different. I just dont get where the flat metal bits go on the car or on the flap? it may sound daft but having not got them yet it is a mystery to me. It may become self explanatory once i have them, but a idiots guide would be best as i dont rerally want to be drilling body work unless i know it is definatly needed.

These ar e the flaps i have bought

surely that bare metal section is not on display, i thought it was a mounting plate that went behind the flap between the arch and flap?

anyone got a pic of one showing within the wheel arch?
