all the bung does is make the exhaust more quiet...
and wont do any damage..
fit the bung and start your car, then take it out,you will be suprized how much quieter it is with it in...
good for long motorway journeys

I stuck a bung in my Blitz for the first time a couple of days ago, and the car became very unresponsive and turbo would not make the same amount of boost.

thats what i thought because you are limiting the exhaust gases for getting out.
will fitting a prodrive backbox have the same results to the car ?
cheers for replys guys.

Fitting a prodrive backbox won't limit your boost as much as a bung will, if at all... but it will make it a bit quieter as it's a larger silencer.

Not sure if it's a straight replacement, but it's not too dificult to try and if it won't fit then just pick up a matching centre section.

Most cars will take a bung with no noticeable effect other than a reduction in noise, not all, but the majority.

Default fitted the bung !!!

fitted a bung yesterday and yes it made a difference with the sound & was i little unresponsive on the boost but i was sh**ing it thinking everytime i put my foot down it was going to blow up (limiting the gasses ) etc etc so i removed it after about 15 min because i just was to worried about the car !
so my thoughts on them are good for reducing noise not so good for confidence in the car if that makes any sence !
I still want it to be less noisy so maybe fitting a prodrive back box would be the best option ?

They are a temporary measure imo and don't understand why people fit them, as it's defeating the object of having a larger bore exhaust...?

If noise is the issue you're much better off fitting a properly silenced system that will also peform properly and not throttle the turbo, as the car just becomes rubbish to drive. ;-)

Be careful with running a bung.... especially if your motor has been highly modded and you have not accounted for the bung in the map.
