Heads
STi v.3 or v.4 'shim under bucket' ones (your existing inlet manifold fits those I think). These should allow 500+bhp all day long.
Fit a set of ARP OEM-sized 11mm dia. head studs too.
Fit 1.6mm thick OEM STi v.3/4 / Cosworth / Cometic MLS head gaskets... BUT!... the thickness may actually depend on what rods/pistons you get, so as to keep the CR correct.

Pistons/rods
Get the best aftermarket forged items you can afford. Also, I think the Hawkeye STi "v.9" rods are tough enough.
I wouldn't bother with any Subaru OEM forged pistons - I'd pay out for much stronger aftermarket ones.

Crank
All Subaru cranks are tough, so if yours needs ONLY a light polish, reuse it I'd say. If however it would require regrinding - DON'T!!! Scrap it and buy new! Otherwise, a Hawkeye STi "v.9" one is a good compromise re. price/'upgrade'.
I think your MY93-96 car is the centre thrust type. I think the "v.9" one is too, or it can be modified from rear to centre - not sure??? Someone will give you more info, soon enough.

Bearings
ACL 'Race Series' main and big-end bearings all round will be more than adequate.
