Default Need Help Please!

Hi all.

Have got a prob with my car. It is a MY98. It has the phase 2 engine ECU etc.

Recently i developed a problem where when reaching 4000 rpm the turbo would seem to stop working? On half throttle it pulls nicely until it reaches 4K then it seems to stall, and splutter.

On full throttle when it reaches 4K it splutters quite violently!

Only mods are 3" pipe from cat, and green panel filter.

Any help would be much appreciated!

When you say splutter, is that power disapearing and then it picking up again (charactersitic of hitting teh overboost fuel cut) or won't it rev past 4K?

98MY should be phase 1.5, 99MY phase2, is the coil in the middle of the manifold (1.5) or to right of centre as you look at it (2).

Hi Simon the coil pack is to the right of center...and the power is dissapearing then coming on again but very lumpy. It does rev around to the red line but after 4k it is on and off?

Have just done a ECU reset aswell to no avail
