Question Newbie...mods help for my sti pls !!!

Hello all...
Just brought my 1st subaru wrx sti 2003 version 8 in black.I absolutely love it and i defo made the best choice rather than the evo 8.
What im wanting to know is how i can increase performance and what works well for this model.
I brought the car with a air induction kit, baileys dump valve,18 inch prodrive alloys, upgraded brakes, decatted blitz exhaust which sounds awesome and adjustable coilovers. Now i know i can have a remap for £350 at my local scooby technix garage but not sure how much it will affect my insurance as im only 28.What other mods are best to do now apart from a remap?

Any ideas would be great..cheers

it should have already been mapped with those mods, if not then not really safe to drive hard.

i had a full decat exhaust with up pipe, air intake, intercooler upgrade drove it for months was perfectly fine then i got it mapped and brought out the full potential of them mods and drives great and very smooth threw the revs now, but as everyone will say they recommend for it to be mapped asap for them mods as it can cause fuel cut and over boosting problems. for now id get it remapped just as you have an exhaust and an air intake, should see 320bhp with equal torque if not more depends, id recommend an ecutek remap

Had the sti on the rolling road yesterday and it came back at 285bhp so what would i expect to gain from a ecutek remap realistically?

Hi daz,
thanks for replying. The guy who had it before said it defo hasnt been remapped, when i brought the car i had it on the rolling road and it has gained 20bhp from the standard sti with the mods that have been done already.Would 20bhp gain be dangerous to drive it hard without a remap?

thanks
