Filter on pipe back to air inlet from BOV

Filter on pipe back to air inlet from BOV
What would be the effect if a filter was put on the pipe back into the turbo inlet instead of blanking it off.
I am talking about after fitting a BOV, rather than using the re-circ valve
please explain answers
