Default water temp gauge sender help

hi ive got a problem with my water temp gauge, it only moves up a few mm when warm not to half way like it should rising to just under half way when in traffic, ive changed the Coolant Sensor & the thermostat with no joy is there a sender behind back of the gauge itself & has anybody had experience of changing one of these? thanks

The temperature gauge sender unit is located next to the Brown Coolant Temp Sensor for the fuel injection.
Both are mounted on the rear of the coolant cross over pipe on the Version 1 to 4.

Hope this helps,

Mick

No probs on that - think they are approx £35 plus vat new or you can try some of the Specialists for a good used one to eliminate the sensor causing the problem.
