Default evo discs on a scooby?

i have just bought a subaru impreza 99 model and have been told it has been fitted with evo brake discs but still has subaru callipers. also the wheels are ridiculously close to the callipers and am suprised they arent catching. has anyone else come across anything like this ? and is it normal for evo discs to fit scoobys. any info would be appreciated cheerz.

What size wheels? OEM MY99 UK wheels are very close to the calipers anyhow.

The discs are completely different for EVOs so can't see that they would be fitted.
