Default ECU difference ?

Hello,

Is there any difference between a JDM Bugeye ECU and a Euro Import ECU? Provided they are both from STI's that is.

Ta

ECU wise the JDM car is mapped to run 102ron fuel whilst in the there mapped to run on 95 unless there ppp where they recommend that they should run on 97

There are differences, you cannot use the JDM rom files in the Eurospec ecu as an indicator. I take it you are wondering if the hardware is interchangeable ?

cheers guys.

Yes Bob, basically I have a UK/parallel import STI with an EcuTek license on it, now I have changed a load of stuff on the car and want to have a quick look and tinker myself so was thinking of changing the ECU out for a STD ECU as I can't fettle with an ECUTek'd ECU

So as I undertand it I have to have a UK ECU to put in there ?

Thanks once again

Tony

Hi Tony,

You might want to look on the RomRaider forums under ECU Analysis......
