Default Inlet spacers without throttle body mod?

I read a thread this thread and wondered if there's any point fitting the inlet manifold spacers if you don't perform this mod at the same time

https://www.scoobynet.com/technical-...ypass-mod.html

Anyone else done this mod on a Blobeye?

Edited to add this link, where a drop of about 8C was measured after the mod was completed. This was measured on a non-turbo car, so I'm guessing the difference would be less on a turbo where the speed and volume of air passing the throttle body is greater.
