SUBARU IMPREZA 2.0 WRX STI GC8 4WD SPEEDLINE 17" ALLOYS on eBay (end time 05-Aug-09 20:15:00 BST)
it is clean, and has 91k km's on it, i am just concerned that the tappets are buggered as it sounds like a fiesta 1.1.
Not sure if they are hydraulic or not
should i walk away or do they all sound like this at this age or has it had a very hard life?
cheers
Phil

Walk away if you are not 100% convinced. Look at more than 1. There are 100's for sale to choose from. Why not have a looksy on this forum at the for sale section. Ask loads of questions and the second something doesn't sound right simply move on. Great cars but they can cost a fair bit to keep roadworthy if you buy a lemon...

Well used gearbox then too. And if that's well used so will everything else be. Rubber bushes and suspension will probably be shot too at that age, unless they have been replaced.
STI's can sound a bit slappy from cold though. The engines generally sound a bit tinny and tappy from the bonnet also.
Any history with it?
