Default Superchips

Has anyone had there car mapped using superchips? I have spoken to Well Lane Turbo Centre this morning and that is the only remapping they offer, he said it wasn't as good as ECUTEK but he did say that it was £420 and that including a full remap, fuelling and dyno run. What are peoples opinion?

Also im in Leeds, where is closest to me or who will travel to me to do ECUTEK remap and how much?

Thanks!!

OMG i have just spoken to Scooby Clinic and they want £150 to fit a turbo back exhaust, £100 to fit uppipe, £550 plus vat for remap plus £100 for rolling road. thats £982.50 for fitting of exhaust an remap. surely that cant be right?

Yeah, that is the right labour costs for the up-pipe and turbo-back fitting. The nuts can be a ******* to get undone (plus it's fiddley, etc.), so they have to allow c.2h and 3h respectively.

And 550 +VAT is the right price for a 1st ECUTEK remap - a licence has to be purchased by the mapper to allow permission to map it.

Am thinking of calling JGM, just tried actually, no answer.

I have sold one exhaust to buy the turbo back but haven't heard anything from my buyer for a couple of days so not sure where i stand?

Does anyone know anything of superchips?

Don't bother with Superchips for the Impreza.

Best bet would be a ECUTEK remap from JGM. Email him - he'll defo respond within 24h (sometimes a lot sooner), as his mapping laptop has his email browser installed (he's mostly out in customers cars mapping his head off ;-D...)

Yeah it's a generic chip. I don't think many on here know anything about it's timing/fuelling/boost tables.... so best steer clear.

Defo £550 + VAT:-

www.jollygreenmonster.co.uk

So get it done before the new year and you'll pay 15% VAT... and not the reverted-back-to 17.5%!

So total will be £632.50 (plus JGM's fuel costs).

I only paid 80 for the cat back to be fitted and my map was 300 for the first one.
Your paying for the license, someone who maps with open software like ecu edit can do it alot cheaper.

Hi mate, I have just bought my first scooby and had it remapped yesterday it was £250 for an adaptive eprom map. It is possible to write your own map if you have the equipment to access the ecu. My scoob is nearly standard and so had the low rpm flat spot. Its better but because its adaptive will need time to self learn. Not sure how long but i would expect 2-3 days of all driving types......what did you think of well lane?

That's exactly what you get. An absolute rip off and quite how they get away with saying it's a 'mapped' is beyond me. They are rip off merchants, do not use them. For your hard earned you get as Dean states a FCD, a bleed valve and rolling road print out. The air to fuel ratio is possibly checked but not altered.

What is an adaptive eprom map? Do they use Open Source to flash to the OEM ECU?
