Default Worn Camshaft bearings 2000 STI

Ive checked the camshaft bearings and they have play in them of about 0.25mm! I think the max allowed is 0.10mm.

What are my options and how much to fix? The camshaft bearing surfaces are grooved but no signs of seizing or overheating.

I think the previous owner never bothered to change the oil.

The camshafts dont have bearings - they run direct in the head.
You can either get some second hand heads or have your originals welded oversize and machined/line bored back to the original size.
