Simtek Air sensor relocation

Simtek Air sensor relocation
I`m having an FMIC fitted on Wednesday and will need to re-locate the air sensor that was fitted to my current TMIC.
Has anyone else with Simtek had to re-locate their air sensor when switching to an FMIC ? If so, can this be done by the garage fitting the FMIC for me or will I have to get Simtek installer to do this ?
Also, can the sensor be placed on the FMIC pipework rather than the core itself.
Any help would be much appreciated. Just trying to get everything sorted before the car goes in next week.
Many thanks.

Fitted mine in the bottom of the throttle body, easy to do and you can tap out a thread for it.best place is as close as you can to the trottle butterfly without it getting in the way.

Easiest way is to locate the sensor in the hard pipe just before the throttlebody.
Providing the hard pipe is of adequate quality(thick enough) the sensor can bee screwed into the pipe without a tap or boss. Use an 8.5mm drill and screw in the brass sensor very carefully.
Locating the sensor facing down can result in a very discreet installation.
Do NOT run the sensor wiring along the hard pipe but route it back to the bulk head and keep it away from any wiring that could result in any stray flux.
