hi guys, what benifits could be had by fitting a thicker head gaskets??

It depends really on the spec of your car.

i have an jap spec version 7 sti, with ACL forged pistons and race series bearings, standard heads ect, adjustable boost controller, full de-cat and a performance air filter, i have seen thicker head gaskets so was wondering if they would give more performance??

would a thicker gasket lower the compression?? would a thin one be better????
