Default external wastegate vaccum pipes

just a quick 1, how do i pipe up an external wastegate with 1 pipe on the top and 1 on the side, i removed it and am just making sure they are back on correctly, cheers phil.

there are numerous ways they can be plumbed.. what are you using for boost control?

can you explain where the other ends of the pipes go, this would help deduce the answer.

Most common way would be top pipe to a T piece.. one end of T to compressor cover and other end to boost solenoid and then side pipe to boost solenoid.. connections on solenoid will depend on what solenoid you are using.

what is this wastegate you speak of? not a dump valve no? sound interesting..

In easy terms (as i'm not an engineer) the wastegate controls turbo boost, stays closed as the boost builds while gradually opening to release pressure and stop more boost. When fully open boost should no longer rise.

Dump valve is to release the pressure after the turbo and either send it back through the intake or dump to atmosphere.

Im sure there is a lot more to it though.
