How much pressure are you talking about is it coming out of the cap? Have you tried a sniff test on the coolant as a start point?

It checks for exhaust gases in the water system, which is sometimes a symptom of headgasket failure

May be a bit of a bitch to do, but try a re-torque of the head studs. Excessive pressure can leak from the gasket and sometimes not show up on a sniff.

Since you did not say overheat then the rest of the cooling system checks out fine?

Without an eyeball on the situation, my attention would be focussed on the gaskets/heads.
