Boost Gauge Hoses
Hi, im installing my Prosport gauges in my car and need to fit the boost gauge.
Now i have checked out the guide we have on Subaru New Age Owners Club and im fine with location etc but rather than cutting into the existing piping i want to get an extra piece so that if i go back to stock i can just refit it all.
Ill be using the pipeline that goes into the dumpvalve but the piping that comes with the prosport gauges is too small and the t-piece also is too small to use with existing piping so need a bigger t-piece and also correct piping size
So does anyone know the correct oem size piping to look for?
Also is there such a thing as a t-piece with different size inputs so that i can have the 2 oem size pipes going into the t-piece but also the smaller hoses that plug into the sensor for the gauge?
Does that make sense

My autosport gauges came with a stepped T-piece that had a restictor fitted on the side that went to the boost gauge. This fitted fine into the factory hose and I then used some 3mm samco vacuum hose to feed to the gauge. This has always seemed to work fine for me

Jon - the t-piece that came with the prosport ones is very small, so fitting that to the oem piping is a no no for me. Its a bit tricky though in that its mechanical so goes to the sensor which has the smaller nipple on it, so ideally need a t-piece that allows the oem piping to fit on fine but then the third nipple on it to be the smaller size to run to the sensor (which then goes to the gauge itself)
Would you say then that 3mm is the oem piping size to look for?

My T-piece had stepped sizes, so the OEM hose would push right up to the stop, but the vacuum hose would only go over the first part. I would take a pic but the car is in the garage at the moment
You can also get T-pieces with different size outlets.
I would aim for about 3-4mm to the gauge.
