What does a Type R boost at, as standard? (97)?

Really?

Type R's are MY97 v.3's on, so will have 280PS.... You sure that's achieved at only 0.9bar

that's strange because when my wrx 97 was standard it boosted up to 1.1 and then settle at 1 bar

It is defo 1.1bar not 0.9bar.
