14mm Stud conversion
Can anyone please give me any technical info on converting my block and head studs to 14mm. i know roger clark does this converion but charge the earth! I have a friend who has an engineering company and thinks he can do it just need to know what studs to use and nuts, what thread to use and so on. Any help is greatfull.

There is no cheap way to do it, if your engine needs 14mm studs, you have bigger things to worry about besides paying for the conversion.

If you think you need 14mm studs, then presumably you're looking at 600hp or there abouts, in which case everything in and on the engine is something to worry about!

Im looking for around 500hp just thoght about having the conversion to try and keep it bullet proof. everything is to be changed i've got a 2.0 closed deck block what advice can you give?

Find someone you trust to sort the lot out, and can supply you with the engine fully assembled for you to fit. The absolute worst thing you can do, is to get bits and pieces from lots of different suppliers, who will all have their own way of doing things, and recommend slightly different things. If you cherry pick pistons from one place, rods from another, gaskets/studs from somewhere else and just hope that it will all work in harmony when you finally assemble it, you're going to have problems unless you know exactly what your doing, in which case you wouldn't be asking for advice in the first place.
