Default new age headers

Just wondered if anyone can shed any light on the header replacement . I would like to change the headers on my new age impreza due to been told they are restrictive but some people say in changing the headers you can loose the famous subaru burble sound but only if equal length headers are fitted. Fit unequal lengh headers and the burble sound will remain ? IS THIS TRUE ?

No need in changing the OEM headers unless your planning on taking the car 400 Bhp+> just port the OEM ones and the up pipe, it'll reuslt in much better spool, you'll not end up with a loss in low down the rev range

Exactly as BODSKI says.

Either buy replacements from harvey, or pay him to port and polish your existing ones...
