Default Flat spot

Hi there,

I recently traded the wagon (hence the username!) for a '56 2.5 WRX PPP but over the last couple of weeks, I have noticed a flat spot in the rev range around the 2-2.5k and it seems to be getting worse. I cannot see any obvious cracks/splits in any of the hosing. Not really sure what else to look for as I am not very engine savvy

Any ideas where I should start looking? If not, any recommendations as to where to take it to get looked over in South Essex?

Thanks!
