Default '05 Sti Shortblock (Whats it worth?)

Hope to be putting in a new short block in the next few weeks and will be selling my standard '05 sti 2.0l short block with standard clutch and flywheel. Has only covered 20k miles and expect it to be in very good condition (to be confirmed when it comes out).

How much is it worth?

My car (you can just about make the block out under all the plumbing if you squint a bit, lol:

Well standard 2.5 blocks go for around £1.5k +vat ? And that includes the pistons, bearings etc. And that's brand new.

So I'd say half? Maybe less?

Are you literally just swapping your engine out for an upgrade without it being damaged?

Cheers

So would £800 be a fair price (clutch and flywheel are included)? I'll put it on the market place this week and see.

I would say more like the 1k mark would be a fair price including the clutch and flywheel.

On the topic of the prices for the shortblock, does anyone actually do the 2.0 STi shortblock brand new where you can compare the price to?

Cheers, should be on the market place by the end of the week, might also be selling my MD321t and 56mm intake only one month old (less than 1000 miles) as I'm thinking about moving to a 321V.
