Have just been asked by a tuning company what turbo might be fitted to my car and as I cant get to the car right now to have a look I thought I would ask on here first ?

Its a 57 plate 2.5 wrx GB270, any ideas ?

MHI (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries) TD04L-13T-6.

So thats a TD04 core size, L turbine wheel (second smallest in the range), 13T compressor wheel (actually a misnomer as its larger than a 14T, guess they ran out of number/letter combo's) and a 6cm suqare cross sectional entry to the turbine.

It's exactly the same as the WRX on which its based. Note the 2.5's use a modified turbo housing versus the (identically numbered) turbo on the 2.0 WRX/Turbo's which has a larger diameter wastegate orifice (although the same sized disc).

What work are you getting done? I would expect a decent Subaru tuning company to know what turbo it was given the model.

I agree totally, if they don't know the answer to that simple question, go elsewhere! (afetr all, I don't own a late WRX, I don't have a TD04, and I know the answer off the top of my head!)
