I wouldn't recommend it.
When doing the air con, to do it properly it needs totally discharging, pull a vacuum on it, leak test, then weighing back in according to the size of the air con system, then leak testing again.
The DIY kits just puts some in, which isn't good for the system.
Edit: Also, you will still have a leak somewhere

yes defo go to a garage its just not woth it if u shop around u will get a garage to do it for as littel as £40 which is only double what the diy kits and the system does need to be vacumed first
