Blob eye power steering

Blob eye power steering
Found a wire going from steering pump to what looked like an oil presure sender had been disconected. White connector just behind the aux belt cover. Only reason i could see for this is variable steering force. New to this model as have owned a classic for years and new to this car as only owned for two weeks. Any help appreciated
