I have a 1995 WRX in silver. The paint code on the chassis plate says 406. I have been told by my local paint shop that there are a light and dark 406. I went for the light colour and had a spray can made up. Guess what, it looks the wrong shade.
All I was touching up was a small area on one wheel arch. Are they wrong or I am doing something wrong. Any adivise whould be gratefully received. Thanks

All i told em was light silver metalic - code 406
My car is a 94 import wrx

I couldnt read the paint code so just took a guess.

(didnt no there is a light and a dark?)

mind ur car could always have been resprayed at somepoint ,
theres no saying it wil now match the paint code under the bonnet,
