Default 2005 Type UK PPP - where to go from here

Having issues with a high pitched noise coming from behind the dash or underneath the car. Noise only appears under load and it doesnt have to be a particularly heavy load either > 4th / 5th / 6th gear motorway speeds, apply throttle and something starts whining.
First impression was its the gearbox so its just come back after having the crown wheel and pinion in the box replaced and the main bearing in the rear diff replaced at a cost of £1600 and the noise is still there.
Dont wanna get rid of the car as its a cracker so any ideas would be welcome.
Alternatively any info on specialists in the Bucks / Berks area would also help.
Cheers

been to a main dealer who also does Mitsubishi and Lotus as well as Subaru. They wasnt interested in pulling the box apart cos it was a 6 speed, they'd have had a look if it was a 5 though. They put me onto this gearbox place who after joint discussion with me agreed to have a look and we went with the party line of replacing these bits. The **** of it is I couldnt even get anyone else in the south east to even look at it - it cant be that hard to find a proper Scoob garage can it, one you can trust? Might not even be the box ..... at my wits end. Prodrive wouldnt answer the phone or reply to mails to discuss...... grrrrrr.

Where in the south east are you, I'm guessing you're talking of Wilson's?

down in the Slough M4 area although dont mind travelling to get this issue sorted. place i was talking about was 3D Transmissions in Reading.
I have considered Gem Motorsport in the Midlands as they're listed as Specialists although a company nearer to the south east would be handier.

Hi mate,

If you are in slough you can chose between Bell & Covll near Guildord, or Cheam Motors near Epsom. Both are main dealers and far from cheap, but they do have good mechanics.

Just a suggestion, my cars have allways come back feeling like new, just wish I didn't have to pay dealer prices. When I said they were far from cheap, I meant they were really expensive.

Thanks for the advice, I'll drop em a line and sound them out. Probly better it getting sorted once at a price rather than touting it round another 5 firms and getting nowhere in return.
