I was talking to Alyn at AS performance today and he says the walbro hi flow pumps don't exist? You can twin 2 x 255ltr pumps but they don't make a higher performance pump anymore

On the last 2 we built Steve we bit the bullet and fitted a proper swirl pot system.
In tank Walboro pump feeding a 1.5 litre swirl pot, and then an Aeromotive 1000hp rated pump feeding the engine. Best way to do it IMHO.

Martin how does that setup work with the swirl tank ???? Mine is just a normal family car so I'm unsure about the swirl pot due to seeing pictures of other cars

Most who have fitted Swirl pots need some sort of resistance to fire (Firewall). It is a pretty big job to carry out if your doing it properly.

I didn't mean you carrying out the job yourself, in general to fit a swirl pot would really fit a firewall for protection. I guess it depends how far you want to go and how safe you want it??

Surely the firewall is no big issue though, i mean rip out the MDF behind the rear seats and fire it in.

Majority of the high powered cars i have come accross are either using the twin hi flow walbro fuel pumps and some even using 2 x 044's out of tank, but these were using a fuel cell and the wretched 25 odd litres of fuel.

Steve i'm assuming the supermarket ain't to far hehe

Normal family car - 550 bhp - 530 ft lbs.

We've used a small 1.5 lt swirl pot fitted under the bonnet on some applications, feed and return from Walbro, then Bosch 044 fed from the pot with the rail returning into it. One of them is used for hillclimbs, very tight corners and major G pulled. As he's winning events, I assume it's ok!
